Beautiful location. Nicely designed cabanas.
Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. Problems with rooms not dealt with professionally. Inadequate cooling-- no fans or breeze.
beautiful ocean view, sand like a white powder, fresh mango margarita
the cheapest room on Booked.net is different than other… behind the kitchen, small, dark and this smell – be carfull
Nice hotel, next to the beach and with a good restaurant where they make their own pasta. Beautiful cabanas with lots of natural light.
Some problems with electricity.
A great place to go and relax. The food at the restaurant was awsome!
Didn't have hot water, but I guess you didnt really need it, the cool water felt great.
Location right on the beach, it is a nice size resort not to over crowded. Rooms are like cabanas, colourful, and very clean. The staff are friendly and easy going bi-lingual which is very helpful. Wifi access in common areas, delicious Italian meal options and complimentary breakfast is also what makes the stay more appealing! I love the design of the place, they have the best hammocks and beach beds!
South east of Tulum, on the beach, close to the Maya ruins, this 'eco-friendly' cluster of cabins is definitely 'special' - but we enjoyed the difference from the normal Yucatan mega hotel. It is literally a stone's throw from the white sand beach and turquoise Atlantic.
Not a real criticism, but the limited 'eco electricity' meant that even the ceiling fan stopped at midnight (no aircon - and it was hot and humid, even in end-September).
This is a fantastic hotel, perfect getaway from manic city life. The beach is beautiful, the cabins and the whole setting is so picturesque. The food at the restaurant was incredible, by far the best meal of my whole stay in Mexico and to rival some of the best restaurants in New York for a fraction of the price. This place is heaven.
Romantic place with excellent beach, perfect for relaxing. I'd like to return there
I loved there were very few people around, so we could enjoy our stay, the wather, white sand and beach were delightful. The cabanas have an excellent italian restaurant with home made pasta which is delicious.
Fabulous location on one of the most serene and beautiful beaches
Hemingway was exactly the romantic getaway my wife and I were looking for so we will absolutely go back at least once every year ! Not only is that long beautiful white sandy Tulum beach two hours south of Cancun wonderful, but Paola and her entire staff were so personable and their food was so delicious that we would recommend Hemingway above each and every other resort on the beach ! Lewis & Kimberly
There is nothing about Hemingway my wife and I didn't like except having to leave it ! :-)
Excellent location, fantastic beach, good breakfast, food nice in overall, straff friendly and helpful.
No electricity on day time, some towels were nit completely clean.
Extraordinarily romantic place, lovely staff, great food. This is a real getaway, the huts are basic but perfect, the breakfasts wonderful and simple. We stayed on the beach, steps down onto the sand, sun rising over the ocean shining into our bedroom. Hemingway is not a resort like the ghastly prison complexes that dominate the coast south of Cancun, it is a spectacular boutique hotel on the most beautiful beach. The restaurant has a short menu of wonderful authentic Italian food with local ingredients. Prices around Tulum seem to be fairly rational: you can pay a lot less to stay in town (5km from beach) or a bit less to stay on the other side of the road from the beach, but staying on the beach is worth every penny. Overall, about the best holiday we have ever had.
Beautiful accommodation on a picture perfect setting. Very comfortable and pretty cabins opening up onto trees and wildlife made it feel like we had our own private jungle. The lovely staff served a lovely complementary breakfast which was a great start to the day and they provided us with helpful information about touring tulum and other parts of Mexico
The restaraunt which was very beautiful was too pricey.. $500 pesos for a pasta. So we did not eat there, however this did not bother us as there were many affordable/ delicious places to eat all the way down the beach.
The place is beautiful, especially if you rent a cabana in front of the beach. The personal is very kind and helpful. The room are clean and well decorated. This is a cabana, do not expect something like an hotel room, but it has it has a charming and romantic spirit. The restaurant is not cheap for Mexican standards but it is really excellent: you pay for the quality and this is not a problem.
The electricity come only during night which is not a problem at all. However it would be useful to have at least one functional plug in the cabana to recharge phones, cameras and computers. In addition it would be a plus if the hotel could be pay by credit card.
